Real Time Bidding

Real Time Bidding (RTB) refers to pricing and buying impressions in real-time using your own audience data and/or external data through proprietary or outsourced technology. It is achieved by tightly integrating the technology between buyers and sellers, which enables buyers to return a bid for an impression in real-time using their own bid valuation technology.

Right Media was the first exchange to offer RTB, and we’re now making it available across RMX. We’ve also released new features designed to give sellers more control over managing their data, pricing and inventory.

In addition to allowing external demand sources to buy inventory hosted on RMX using real time technologies, Right Media also offers an RTB solution to its hosted buyers for making media buys on inventory sources not hosted on RMX. The seller passes information about the ad call to RMX, and the buyer uses RMX’s bidder to place its bid and send it to the seller. The seller uses its own technology to conduct the auction.
